On Tuesday, October 16, 2018, MLK Boston and the City of Boston will be hosting KING LEGACY NIGHT, a black-tie benefit to support the design and the construction of the memorial honoring the Boston legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King. The event will bring iconic civil rights leaders and headline entertainment featuring four-time Grammy winner, Esperanza Spalding, Pop Icon and Grammy nominee, Taylor Dayne, as well as one of the top-selling musical groups of all time, Earth, Wind & Fire.

KING LEGACY NIGHT will benefit The MLK Boston project, a multimillion-dollar citywide commemoration of the Kings’ life in Boston that will include an outdoor memorial on Boston Common, a high tech immersive educational center in Roxbury’s Dudley Square neighborhood, and a community-wide endowment in partnership with Roxbury's Twelfth Baptist Church to continue King-related programming in the city.
